Course Overview

The publisher’s curriculum introduces access through Microsoft 365, team and communication sites, site contents and document libraries. It then develops navigation, version control, approval, check-in and check-out concepts, alongside syncing with OneDrive. Begin with the introductory tutorial and use the advanced class to examine how a site supports an actual team workflow. The compilation remains available after the two parts. Keep information structure and permissions visible when making a design choice: a library is useful when people can find the right document, understand its status and access it appropriately.

How to study the course

  • Start with the beginner tutorial before the advanced session, and retain the full-course compilation for review. Use a practice site if you have suitable access.
  • Describe the intended document workflow before customising the site. Check how another user would find a file, identify its status and understand the next action.

Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.

Who is this for?

This course is for teams and professionals using or considering SharePoint Online. It suits new users looking for a foundation and people seeking a more organised approach to document collaboration.

Before you start

Basic Microsoft 365 familiarity is helpful. Hands-on practice needs an appropriate SharePoint environment and permissions. A Microsoft 365 subscription, organisation tenant and paid provider benefits are separate from free video viewing.

Put the lessons into practice

Plan a practice document library for a fictional project. Define a small set of document types, a simple navigation approach and the information needed to identify each file. Explain how a draft becomes a reviewed version and who should have access at each stage. If you have a suitable practice site, test the workflow with dummy documents. Otherwise, record the design as a planning exercise. Review whether the structure helps someone find and understand a document without relying on a private explanation.

This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.

Certificate / Assessment

Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment.

Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
