About this course
Equity finance involves more than finding someone willing to invest. Bocconi’s course examines the institutions, fund structures and deal decisions behind private equity and venture capital.
The five-module outline moves from the industry’s basic role through legal and tax considerations, fund management, valuation and deal-making, ending with a final test. It considers businesses at different stages of development.

WikiFree recommends this after basic business finance if you want to understand the investor’s perspective. It offers a different lens from a course about preparing a small-business funding application.
Legal and tax examples belong to the context in which they are taught; they are not a current personalised transaction guide. The learning goal is understanding how the pieces of an equity investment fit together, rather than identifying a promised profitable investment.
