A contact center depends on configuration decisions that connect customers, channels and the people responding to them. Configure and Maintain CCaaS as an Admin introduces those responsibilities for Google’s Contact Center as a Service platform.
This free intermediate course focuses on administration rather than the agent’s conversation workflow or the manager’s reporting view. It covers settings, users, teams, routing, channels, AI-related features and integrations. It is suited to learners preparing to understand a managed service environment, while actual product access and organizational permissions remain separate.

Connect the configuration with a service requirement
For an optional study exercise, invent a contact center with a few channels and teams. Describe its hours, customer needs and escalation responsibilities. These requirements give you a clearer basis for evaluating settings than a general wish to enable every available feature.
As you study the initial settings and user topics, record the purpose of each proposed decision. A team assignment or message should support an agreed service process. Keep unknowns visible so that the configuration plan does not appear more complete than the requirements that support it.
Follow the interaction through its routing path
The routing, queues and channel topics can be easier to understand when you trace a fictional customer interaction. Write down where it begins, which conditions affect its route and who receives it. Consider what should happen when the preferred team is unavailable or the request needs further support.
This is a conceptual study exercise rather than an instruction to alter a live routing system. In a real environment, changes should be reviewed and tested through the organization’s approved process. A course example does not establish that one routing approach meets every service need.
Plan maintenance and integrations deliberately
When reviewing integrations and AI-related features, identify which systems exchange information and who owns each connection. A feature can depend on permissions, external products or operational responsibilities beyond the contact-center interface. Document those dependencies before considering a production change.
Use the quizzes to revisit unfamiliar areas across this longer course. Monitoring and reporting appear here, but the separate management course explores them in more depth. Free instruction does not include the CCaaS service, telephony or enterprise integrations, and it does not guarantee operational performance or a completed deployment.
Free learning and practical access
The complete instruction is advertised as free on Google Skills; a free learner account is required. A live CCaaS environment, telephony, integrations and enterprise-feature access are separate. Guided product activities do not include a free production subscription; no paid lab activities are present in the reviewed curriculum. Google advertises a course completion badge after the required activities. It is not a professional certification or academic credit.
