Course Overview
The course includes objectives and strategy, international operations, portfolio and capital-market concepts, the cost of capital, discounted cash flow, risk, options, mergers and acquisitions, reconstruction and dividend policy. It also contains extensive numbered sequences on foreign-exchange and interest-rate risk. All 55 source recordings are retained. The classroom groups related teaching topics and puts their numbered parts in sequence, so Part 2 does not precede Part 1. Use the videos as a recorded study edition. Exam requirements, market conventions and provider materials can change, and the classroom does not include a professional assessment or a personalised financial recommendation.
How to study the course
- Build the appraisal and financing foundations before approaching more demanding valuation or restructuring examples. Keep each assumption beside the calculation it affects.
- Work through every part of a multi-part topic in order and explain the intermediate result before moving to the next stage.
- Use the risk-management topics to identify the exposure, method and limitations in a fictional case, then review current exam materials for your actual sitting.
Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.
Who is this for?
This course suits ACCA AFM learners and finance professionals reviewing advanced financial-management study topics. It assumes a stronger foundation than an introductory accounting or business course.
Before you start
Knowledge of financial management, accounting and spreadsheet calculations is helpful. The recordings include historical teaching examples. Check the current syllabus and applicable conventions for your exam; real financing or investment decisions need current information and appropriate professional judgement.
Put the lessons into practice
Prepare a fictional investment proposal with cash-flow assumptions and a funding choice. Explain the appraisal method used, test a change in one assumption and record what the result can support. Add a conceptual foreign-currency or interest-rate exposure and describe the questions raised by a possible response. Finish with a short recommendation for the fictional case, clearly separating calculations, assumptions, limitations and the additional information required before an actual decision.
This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.
Certificate / Assessment
Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment. ACCA or CIMA exam entry, current exam eligibility and professional qualification requirements are separate from this video classroom.
Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
