This notice explains how WikiFree uses information when you browse the library, contact us or participate in a discussion. It also describes third-party services used to deliver and support the website.
Last updated: 6 October 2026. For privacy questions or requests, contact the site administrator at contact@wikifree.com or use the private form on Contact and Corrections.
Browsing and external course links
You can read WikiFree and download its original resources without creating a site account. Normal web requests provide technical information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time, to the hosting and security services that deliver the website.
Enrolment takes place on the linked provider’s website. That provider handles its own accounts, learning activity and privacy practices. WikiFree does not receive your course password or payment details through an ordinary enrolment link.
Private contact messages
The contact form collects the name, email address, subject and message you submit. We use these details to handle your enquiry, investigate corrections and respond where appropriate. Messages are sent to a private site inbox rather than published as comments; the form does not create a separate database archive of message contents.
The form uses short-lived records derived from the request’s network address and the submitted email address to limit abusive repeated submissions. This anti-abuse record is separate from your message and expires within an hour. Hosting and mail services may also keep operational logs needed for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, identity documents or confidential project files in a message.
Article comments and discussion
WordPress stores a submitted comment’s display name, email address, text and technical moderation information, including the IP address and browser identifier. All new submissions are held for moderation. Once approved, your chosen display name and comment are visible to other readers; your email address is not displayed with the public comment.
Comments, replies and moderation records can remain until the administrator removes them or processes an appropriate request. Do not post private or sensitive information. WikiFree does not load remote profile avatars for comments.
Cookies, security and hosting
WordPress uses cookies for administrator login and related security. If you choose to save your comment details in your browser, comment preference cookies may remember those details for later submissions. You can remove or block cookies through your browser, although this may affect convenience or access to functions that depend on them.
Cloudflare helps deliver and protect WikiFree and may process network and request information for those purposes. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices. The site’s hosting and mail services also process information needed to operate the website and contact inbox.
Google advertising and your choices
WikiFree includes Google AdSense integration on eligible pages. Google and advertising partners may receive page URLs, IP addresses and browser or device identifiers, and use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Personalised ads may reflect previous visits to websites and apps. Ad display depends on Google’s settings, eligibility and applicable consent choices.
Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s advertising information. You can manage ad personalisation through Google Ad Settings. Those settings do not replace any consent choice required for storage or processing on this website.
Where an advertising consent notice is provided, use its controls to give, refuse or withdraw consent. Requirements vary by region, including the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. This policy does not itself implement a consent mechanism or certify an advertising configuration. This privacy page does not load advertising tags.
Sharing links and other third parties
Share and follow buttons are ordinary links rather than automatically embedded social feeds. Opening a link takes you to the chosen service, which applies its own privacy terms and may receive the shared page address and information from your browser. A share button does not automatically post to your account.
This version of WikiFree does not add a separate audience analytics service or embedded course video players. New services that materially change these practices should be reflected in an updated notice.
Retention and privacy requests
Contact messages and operational records are kept for handling enquiries, maintaining security and resolving issues. Their retention depends on the purpose and the relevant hosting or mail system; there is no single fixed retention period for every record. Comments can remain as part of a continuing public discussion.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or request deletion of personal information. Contact contact@wikifree.com or use the private contact form. The administrator may verify a request and can use WordPress privacy tools for relevant site records. Necessary security records or legal obligations can affect what may be removed.

Optional email newsletter
WikiFree is preparing an optional weekly newsletter of free courses and site updates. Browsing is available without subscribing. Once subscriptions are enabled, joining requires your email address and confirmation through an email link. A separate daily option will be offered only if that frequency becomes available; joining the weekly list does not subscribe you to daily messages.
MailPoet manages the mailing list within our WordPress database. Subscription records can include your email address, selected list, subscription status, signup and confirmation timestamps, and IP addresses used to record consent and prevent abuse. The form uses an anti-spam check. We do not add contact-form senders, commenters or site visitors to the marketing list without their subscription and confirmation.
When connected, MailPoet’s sending service will process the information needed to deliver emails and handle bounces, complaints and unsubscribe requests. Public signup remains disabled until delivery and confirmation are tested. Email open and click tracking are disabled in the prepared newsletter settings.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. We may retain the minimum subscription or suppression record needed to respect an unsubscribe request; account and database backups are protected separately. You can use our contact form to ask about access, correction or deletion.
Closing the newsletter invitation stores a preference in your browser’s local storage for 30 days. This preference contains no email address and prevents repeated automatic invitations. An explicit signup button can reopen the invitation. Your browser can clear this preference at any time.
