What you’ll learn
- Follow the introductory Power Automate training and describe a workflow’s intended behaviour.
- Use the advanced automation session to examine more demanding connected-process examples.
- Relate the Power Apps tutorial to the design of a small application supporting a practical task.
- Check a workflow or app with sample inputs and explain its assumptions and access requirements.
Skills you’ll gain
- Power Automate
- Workflow design
- Low-code development
- Power Apps
- Process testing
- Data and access awareness
Course Overview
The publisher’s curriculum introduces Power Automate in two stages, then provides a substantial Power Apps tutorial. Study the automation sessions around a task with clear inputs and outputs before moving to the application-building session. A low-code tool still requires careful decisions about data, permissions and the behaviour expected from a process. The recordings use the interfaces available at their teaching dates. Particular connectors, service capabilities and application access may require separate licenses or an organisation environment, which are not supplied by free video viewing.
How to study the course
- Complete the beginner and advanced automation classes before studying the Power Apps session. Keep the business task understandable before adding another component.
- Use invented data and a practice environment when testing. Inspect what a workflow changes and what an app allows a user to view or enter.
Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.
Who is this for?
This course suits office professionals, process owners and learners exploring Microsoft’s low-code tools. It is useful for people who want to understand the connection between automating a task and providing an application interface for it.
Before you start
Basic office and data-handling skills are helpful. Practice needs suitable Power Platform access, connectors and permissions. Paid licenses, organisation environments and separate provider resources are not included.
Put the lessons into practice
Plan a fictional request-tracking task with a few fields and a clear completion state. Describe one automation step and the information a small app would need to display or collect. Follow a suitable demonstration in a practice environment using invented records. Try an incomplete input and explain what should happen. Keep real external actions disabled while learning, then review the output manually. Document the workflow, access assumptions and one limitation that would need attention before the example could be used more widely.
This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.
Certificate / Assessment
Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment.
Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
