Course Overview
The Project training addresses building a phase-based work breakdown structure, assigning durations, considering constraints and resources, and tracking a project. The Visio classes introduce navigation and drawing components before developing more demanding diagrams, shapes, connectors and links with external information. Study each application’s beginner and advanced pair in order. A schedule and a diagram serve different purposes: one represents work and timing, while the other can explain a process or structure. Keep the meaning of the information clear before customising its presentation. Software licenses are separate from the public video lessons.
How to study the course
- Complete the Project beginner and advanced classes, then follow the corresponding Visio pair. Keep all four source sessions available for reference.
- Use a small fictional project to connect the two tools. A readable diagram should explain the work without pretending to replace the scheduling information.
Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.
Who is this for?
This course is for project coordinators, managers, team leads and learners who want to study scheduling and visual communication. It is software training and does not provide a project-management certification.
Before you start
Basic project and computer knowledge is helpful. Practice needs appropriate Project and Visio environments. The recordings use 2021 software interfaces; licenses and current feature availability are separate from free viewing.
Put the lessons into practice
Describe a fictional office training project with a few phases and tasks. Define the relationship between tasks, estimate durations and identify a resource constraint. Build or sketch a small schedule, then create a separate diagram explaining one process within the project. Check that the task names and responsibilities agree between the two. Introduce a simple change and explain its effect on the schedule and the diagram. Keep the exercise small enough that every dependency and assumption can be reviewed.
This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.
Certificate / Assessment
Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment.
Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
