- Analytical review
Course Overview
The publisher’s route begins with Tableau navigation and first visualisations, then introduces work with data and row-level, aggregate and table calculations. Later teaching refines dashboards and examines trends, distributions, forecasting and sharing a data story. Follow the progression with a small dataset whose values you can check. A useful foundation includes understanding why a calculation or visual is appropriate, not simply reproducing its appearance. The course labels describe the teaching stages; free viewing does not include a Tableau certification or software entitlement.
How to study the course
- Start with the introductory tutorial before moving into calculations and later visualisation topics. Inspect the data behind a displayed result.
- Use the final stages to refine the explanation a reader receives. Make labels and scope clear, and check any analytical assumption before drawing a conclusion.
Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.
Who is this for?
This course suits analysts, business intelligence learners and professionals beginning to use Tableau. It is useful for building a foundation before focusing on a more specialised dashboard or business scenario.
Before you start
Basic knowledge of tables and data fields is helpful. A compatible Tableau practice environment is useful. Software licenses, publishing services and separate provider benefits are not included with free viewing.
Put the lessons into practice
Use an invented dataset of course sessions with topics and participant counts. Build a first visual answering a simple question, then add one calculation from the training and check it manually. Create a small dashboard with consistent labels and a clear time period. Ask what a reader can reasonably conclude from the available records and what would need more information. Revise one element that distracts from the question. Keep a short record of the data, calculation and design decisions behind the finished view.
This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.
Certificate / Assessment
Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment.
Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
