Course Overview

The publisher identifies table formatting, conditional functions, charts and PivotTables as part of the analytical curriculum. The extended classes give you different ways to inspect data, calculate summaries and make a result easier to interpret. Work from a stated question and keep the original information available. Choose a transformation or summary because it helps answer that question, then check how it behaves when the data changes. The separate Copilot video is retained as part of the source, while access to its demonstrated features may require a suitable Microsoft entitlement.

How to study the course

  • Start with the introductory analysis class and establish a clear question. Keep each calculation connected to the source records it summarises.
  • Continue through the power-user and PivotTables sessions, then examine the additional Copilot tutorial. Review outputs and assumptions whether a result is produced manually or with AI assistance.

Use the searchable classroom lesson list to revisit a specific explanation. Pause after a useful demonstration, reproduce a small example and explain the result in your own words. Keep a short note of what worked, what changed and what you still need to understand before moving on.

Who is this for?

This course is for analysts and Excel users who need to summarise, compare or explain information. It suits professionals who know basic formulas and cell references and want a more deliberate analysis workflow.

Before you start

Basic Excel knowledge is recommended. Practice needs an appropriate software version, and some AI or advanced features require separate access. Free viewing does not include Microsoft licenses or Copilot benefits.

Put the lessons into practice

Use an invented dataset of product orders with a date, category, quantity and amount. State one question about the orders, then create a summary using a technique from the videos. Check a few groups against the original records and explain what is included or excluded. Add a visual only if it improves understanding. Try a new record or a changed category and review the result. Finish with a short conclusion that separates what the workbook shows from assumptions that need more evidence.

This optional activity is provided by WikiFree for independent practice. It is not a graded assignment from the instructor. Keep your working notes, check the result against the task you defined and return to the relevant lesson when an assumption or technique is unclear.

Certificate / Assessment

Watching the public videos and using WikiFree progress tracking does not award a certificate, exam voucher, academic credit or instructor assessment.

Use your practice output to review what you can now explain and repeat independently. Completion tracking records your study progress; it does not replace an assessed qualification or professional experience.
